Holding ourselves to account

We're committed to doing our part, starting with measuring and reducing our corporate carbon footprint. We were a founding signatory of the Glasgow Declaration for Climate Action in Tourism at COP26, through which we'll be reporting annually on our progress to Net Zero.

We're also part of the Board Now program with our partners at SkyNRG, purchasing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) so that we can reduce the impact of our own corporate travel as well as help drive supply of SAF for the future.

Collaborating with the travel industry

We've been part of Travalyst, an industry working group that includes founding members like Trip.com Group, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, and Visa, since it launched in 2019. We've come together out of a shared passion for travel and belief that systemic change is needed to make the industry more sustainable.

Through Travalyst, we're working to bring more travel sustainability information, like our unified aviation carbon emissions framework, to the mainstream. We also seek to ensure a positive future for destinations and local communities in every part of the world. We know we’ve got a responsibility to our planet and each other, and together, as a group, we can be a catalyst for change.

Our sustainability journey

sharing emissions data

Sharing emissions data

Our role is to share unbiased information with travellers to help them make informed choices. As part of this commitment, we believe in sharing information on the environmental impact of flights.

When a traveller searches for a flight, they'll see information around which options emit less CO2e than a typical flight for their chosen route. More than 100 million travellers have already selected a lower emission flight for their route since we launched the feature in 2019.
