Global travel search engine Skyscanner has started powering Microsoft Travel’s newly launched car rental search across 49 markets.
The launch of MSN’s car rental tool represents a further extension of the partnership between Skyscanner and Microsoft. Last year the metasearch site began powering flight search for MSN Travel across all 31 global markets, adding a further 18 this year.
Microsoft’s car rental data is powered by Skyscanner for Business, Skyscanner’s independent B2B unit, which launched a car rental White Label earlier this year. Skyscanner now powers car rental search for a growing number of businesses across the travel industry, including Brazilian metasearch site Mundi.
The White Label offers users a number of unique features including visibility on free cancellations, mileage limits, as well as comparison on thousands of models of car including hybrid and electric vehicles.
